Richard Gorodecky

Richard Gorodecky is a freelance writer, creative director, and independent filmmaker.

He learned his craft as a storyteller working in advertising. His commercial work has earned over sixty industry awards, including a Gold Lion at Cannes, Grand-Prix at Eurobest, a Silver Effie and a place in the permanent collection of The Museum Of Art And Craft in Hamburg.

He has written and directed fiction, documentaries and commercials. He was awarded Best British Film at The London Short Film Festival, Nominated for Best British/Irish Short Film at London Critics Circle and received the unprecedented accolade (for a short film) of Critics Choice in The Sunday Times newspaper.

Richard freelances as a director/writer/creative director for agencies and consults for brands. He is currently developing a feature film with producers Ian Prior, Martina Niland and Screen Ireland.

For fun, Richard writes stories for obscure publications, points cameras at things and runs in muddy places.
